IASTM
IASTM
IASTM is a therapy that uses a medical-grade stainless steel tool. This helps treat stiffness in the body’s connective tissue (fascia), boosts blood circulation to the affected area, and helps dissolve tissue blockages. IASTM’s purpose is facilitating healing, and it can be used, among other conditions, in sports and athlete rehabilitation.
The Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) or Gua Sha technique uses specialized tools to break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. This helps relieve chronic pain, restore normal function, and enhance mobility by improving blood flow and reducing inflammation in the affected areas.
This technique is highly effective for conditions involving soft tissue restrictions and chronic pain, including:
- scar tissue and Adhesions
- Tendonitis
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Chronic Pain Conditions
- Muscle Stiffness
